John Wilde

Excellent male vocal entertainer

John is a very experienced male vocal entertainer who started his singing career in the 60‘s, in various band. With the start of the Mersey Sound he worked around the well known Liverpool venue’s, The Peppermint Lounge, The Iron Door, The Mardi Gras and of course The Cavern. At this time John was with a band called The Boyfriend, who were offered a recording contract but like most bands of that time, was a one hit wonder and eventually disbanded. He then joined a band called New Horizon and toured Britain in various Venues with summer seasons at Butlins Holiday Camps. They also appeared on New Faces which brought a contract for The Bailey Cabaret Club circuit.

In the late 70’s John now a family man embarked on a solo career, working semi professional in social clubs around the North West. In the early 80’s he was made redundant and decided to make a complete change and moved to Benidorm and bought a bar. The family ran the bar and John entertained the locals and holiday makers in the evenings, with great success. Ten years later he returned to England and toured the country as a solo entertainer.

John with all his experience has put together a versatile entertaining cabaret show, plays some guitar and is a good storyteller. His reputation brings audiences, who love his humor and hearing the songs from all decades. He is professional and delivers an excellent show.
